Marrakech and High Atlas
The Marrakech and High Atlas region of Morocco is home to the most visited city in the whole Kingdom: Marrakech. This magical and overwhelming city will keep your attention for days. Be sure to visit some of the magnificent kasbahs found on the slopes of High Atlas. Also, note that the Tizi n Tichka mountain pass (on the road from Marrakech to Ouarzazate) and the Tizi n Test mountain pass (on the road that goes from Marrakech to Taroudannt) are completely blocked and inaccessible during winter. However, during spring and summer, the High Atlas offers amazing trekking opportunities: here is the highest mountain peak in North Africa, the Jebel Toubkal (4167 m).
